Dear Mr Rabasseda,

I am writing to express my concern regarding a common issue in Arenys de Munt. Everytime it rains slightly strong, some streets get flooded. I am aware that some years ago a pipeline system was introduced beneath the main street, the riera, in order to reduce the water flowing down, but it does not work properly.

First of all, every time it rains and water flows down the streets, it is difficult or nearly impossible to cross them. Talking about the main street, the riera, where the water levels are higher, there is only one bridge where people can cross the flooded street.

Another problem caused by the flooding streets, mostly in the main street, is the water that enters some homes. This can cause damage to furniture and dirty the floor.

I urge you to consider this issue and try to solve it. I suggest improving the pipeline system that canalizes the flowing water or mantaining the drains clean of leaves and other dirt that may obturate them.
